by marianoguerra on October 17, 2008, 11:05:26 AMHi, as some of you may know, I'm finishing my career and I have a new job, so the free time that I have is used to code something for emesene 2.0, but still, I don't want to leave emesene 1.0 without care, and since ubuntu intrepid is coming in the next weeks, I would like to have a patched release (1.1.1) to be on the repositories, so I'm calling for your help! I need that YOU start to gather all the non applied patches and testing them, the ones that can be applies and works well will be applies on svn and a emesene 1.1.1 release will be made (you can create a thread to centralize the work). please if the patch is a feature that has some discussion please consider making it a plugin or something (bug fixes and current feature enhancements will be preferred, except that all of you want that feature ). cool, stable and useful plugins will be considered to be part of the "supported" plugins. thanks for your time!. 2742 Views | 25 Replies

by Roger on August 03, 2008, 09:35:19 PMI had some time this week to hack emesene.
So i finished msnp15 single sign-on =D, Offline Messages don't work and some minor bugs are there.
A new emesene stable release is coming, for now just svn up in your emesenepequince copy.

by dx on July 31, 2008, 09:01:19 AMHi there, we have upgraded to MSNP15 to fix the problems some people had with 911 errors on login. It's not complete and bug-free yet, there are some problems with contacts (no cache updates, nicknames turn into "1", etc), but if the other error bothers you enough, checkout a svn copy with the following command: svn co https://emesene.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/emesene/branches/emesenepequince Then do cd emesenepequince and ./emesene as usual. See this thread for more details. 1887 Views | 5 Replies

by dx on July 20, 2008, 10:48:53 PMQuote from homepage: The emesene dev team is proud to announce the release of emesene 1.0.1 codename deadbeef.
This is a bugfix-only release, including the update of the "application id", hex number that some of the msn servers rejected. All users should update as soon as possible, since this change is going to be applied to all servers, resulting in either error messages when trying to manipulate contacts, or empty contact list after logging in. That's it. Most of you know a more accurate description of what's the bug about, because you may have seen it yourselves. There are a few minor bugfixes too, so if anyone is still in 1.0, update now. Yes, I didn't ask anyone about the codename. Distributions: This is a full svn export, equivalent to emesene-1.0-dist.tar.gz. - setup.py is there, and I believe that it still doesn't work with python2.4
- misc is there, with all the icons and related stuff
- Licenses are there too, COPYING, GPL, LGPL, PSF
Tell me if I missed something, and update ASAP, because this is what I'd call critical Windows users: Sorry, no update for you yet. j0hn is the new windows mantainer, and I haven't seen him yet. Someone tell him about this, and he may package something. Update: notified, and someday emesene 1.0.1 will be releasedPackage manager addicts: C10uD made this for you http://apt.emesene.org/emesene_1.0.1_all.deb4124 Views | 26 Replies
