major message delivery problem

I'm using emesene since 1.0RC. I used it in ubuntu 7.10 and now I'm using 1.0Final in ubuntu 8.04

Emesene is unusable for me. Ok here I go:

I tested it in only invisible, away and online modes: I can't receive any message if I don't open the chat window of the sender before he/she sends any message... Just to test this, I closed the chat window while my friend writing a message, and I didn't received it. It was the same every time I tried. Also occasionally custom smileys don't show. I also tested all above with http protocol on but it doesn't help at all.

PS: I did a fresh install of 8.04, new packages, new distro but still I have the same problem. So I'm guessing it's not related to my specific hardware? But then again, why no one ever filed a bug report about this? Anyway...

I willing to provide any info you ask, logs maybe? where are they?

Try starting from terminal (start terminal, enter /usr/share/emesene1.0/emesene, switching on debug (first option in preferences) and paste the debug info here!
