What about enabling the "logger" plugin -
To enable the logger plugin you will need pysqlite2 (if you use something debian-based use 'python-pysqlite2')

I think it's pretty clear that you have to enable the logger plugin..

Personally I don't understand why the plugin doesn't activate the logger plugin on its own. If it is smart enough to tell me that I should enable the logger plugin, it should be smart enough to enable it for me.

There should be some kind of dependency management that would auto-enable the logger plugin and warn you when you disable the logger plugin that it's needed by LastStuff? and that laststuff will be disabled as well (with a "Ok, disable them" / "Cancel, don't change anything" option). That's one of the great feature of apt-get/aptitude/synaptic, we should have something similar in emesene.

I will take a look at the current plugin architecture and try to see if there's a not too invasive way of doing this kind of dependency management.
