This description is outdated and i won't update it.

Status:

• Receiver bugs: another bug! be not happy
• Sender: roger patch, works with other emesenes and pidgin. Many bugs.
• P2PDebug: most features ready, considering how to make it more readable.

Owners:

• roger: original patch
• dx: FTReceiver. P2PDebug
• marianoguerra: DCHandler?

"mantainer" means "able to do changes, improvements, bugfixes". Right now nobody cares about the patch.

Replying to dx: I use KMess to send myself(another passport on one computer) a small file, and it can't work...always 0%. KMess works well on sending/receiving files.

I agree completely. I'm doing a lot of word spreading about emesene. Everybody I know it's experimenting this client, and always they tell me about this missing feature...

guys, i think the developer understand very well that it is a must have feature in emesene, that is why it is slated for v1.0 and not v1.1

i hope this feature get done soon too, but there is no point shouting about it :p

Replying to dx: I would usually agree with you, except because this time you're completely OUT OF YOUR MIND, how can you even think on that?, amsn was good some years ago, but let's be honest with ourselves: times changes, so does technologies, and amsn is programmed on a very obsolete language, which gives a very obsolete apparence with no relation with modern desktops, and they have been developing the beta for longer than a year without making real positive changes, specially in the visual part, while people like the ones behind Emesene are showing how a new interface, simpler but more current, can make lots of people fall in love, even having some "removed features" -as you refer as-, which they're obviously working on.

yay for the filetransfer (sending) ! but only one problem, it sucks 100% of my cpu

It works pretty well, but the botton "send file" if I have two or more chats active sends the file always at the first chat tab, even if is focused the second, third or what ever chat tab. Instead it works if I drag-drop the file over the chat window...

default as a design pattern rather than trying to put it all together. That way you can never create offline or print docs of high quality without again having the devs or current admins maintain the comments and annotations. Hopefully a small Wiki quality team will evolve (i am against ops or admins) to review and summarize the contributions. I hope this gives us more users as contributors than having the docs focused on the devs. Cheers, duns china tour I still prefer a wiki like approach since the php (or mysql) docs are very cluttered when you have to take their comments in account. On the other hand they are professionally maintained imho, since they are *much* better than KDE documentation. KDE is by far larger and has so many different apps, which need screenshots and end user not dev/api docs, that more help is needed as long as the devs prefer to code than to write nice docs. And it is their choice to some degree imo. Technically interested but non-dev end users, which are plenty out there, are the users of and the best contributers to the docs
