emesene on windows is broken

i've been using emesene on windows for a minute and it has a lot of broken stuff.

* paths seem to work very bad

• preference window dont work
• avatar change dont work
• emoticons dont show on the conversation window
• avatars are downloaded but not shown

its not like i want to use it on windows, but its a good excercise to fix the path bugs, also some people would want to try it on windows (for example some people i know dont use linux but they want to try out what im doing, others would like to even use it on windows! :D)

i dont know anyone that would like to fix this bugs, but if you dont know what to do please se this.

What path bugs? AFAIK, it doesn't use any "home" paths

paths are broken i've been testing it on windows, it doesn't work also inside py2exe, i've tried to find a way to fix them, but there are a lot of issues like /users.dat in login.py i think it has to be something like os.separator+'users.dat', there's another issue directory are conidered with the separator already in it so directory aren't seen like "c:\\directory" but become "c:\\\\directory"
