Installation

Windows

Download the latest installer and follow the instructions.

Linux/Unix

Emesene is included in most distributions, such as Fedora 8, Ubuntu 8.04, Arch, Gentoo, FreeBSD, and others.

Manual installation

Download the .tar.gz, extract and run:

tar xvzf emesene*.tar.gz
cd emesene*
./emesene

APT repository

Add emesene source:

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Paste this at the bottom of the file :

deb http://apt.emesene.org/ ./
deb-src http://apt.emesene.org/ ./

Install emesene:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install emesene

Dependencies

The following packages are required to run

• python >= 2.4
• gtk >= 2.8
• pygtk >= 2.8
